Dom Planica - Visoka peč (hunting path)

Access to the starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, drive to Border crossing Rateče or vice versa, then turn into Planica at the junction where the road to Planica branches off. Just before you reach the large gravel parking lot, turn left towards the Olympic Sports Centre Dom Planica. Park in a suitable place next to the House, or in one of the above-mentioned car parks in Planica.

Path description:
From Dom Planica, walk to the nearby bowling green, above which step onto the gravel of the nearby torrent. Continue ascending the stream for a few minutes and then cairn points left into lane of dwarf pines, where you will come out on a well-groomed, but unmarked, hunting trail.
The trail, which starts to climb steeply through the forest, leads us after about 15 minutes' walk from the starting point to a small wooden log cabin, which serves as a small bivouac in an emergency, but is otherwise intended for cameramen during ski jumps or flights in Planica. At the log cabin, the trail transitions to a small ridge, which soon ends on steep wooded slopes. When the trail passes into a dense forest, it turns right and starts to climb steeply. Higher up, the path gradually becomes steep and, especially in wet conditions, dangerous for slipping. Over these slopes, a fairly steep track continues, which is usually well cleared of leaves, so that in the dry the path does not present any major danger. After a few minutes of traversing, we are joined on the right by a slightly (quite a lot) more difficult, but marked path with Planica (possibility of descending to Planica).
From the crossroads, continue along the marked mountain path in the direction of Ciprnik and Vitranec. The way forward again starts to climb steeply and turns right at a slightly higher altitude, where it quickly leads us to a scenic ridge. For some time we climb along the ridge, which opens up a beautiful view of the ragged slope of Ciprnik and Jalovec and the Ponc ridge. Higher up, the trail turns into forest for a while, then returns to a partially exposed ridge and a scenic ridge. The trail then returns to the forest, where it climbs steeply for a while, and then leads to the main ridge of Ciprnik, where it joins the trail from Vitranec.
Here, continue right and climb for a while through the forest, through which we increasingly get beautiful views. The forest is soon replaced by dwarf pines, and the path gradually changes to quite steep slopes, which are also slightly exposed in a few places. Follow this quite steep path in the last part, then, with a view of the surrounding peaks, all the way to the lookout peak, which is reached after a few minutes of further walking. From Ciprnik we have a beautiful view of the mountains above the valleys of the two Pišnics and of course an exceptional view of the nearby Jalovec and the other mountains above Tamar, and we continue towards Visoka peč, the peak visible on our side of Tamar, looking towards the Ponce ridge.
At the top, we find a path between dwarf pines which, with the help of many cairns, leads us along the west side of Ciprnik, first moderately and then steeply downwards. The path quickly descends and then ascends to a viewpoint between Ciprnik and the High Furnace. From the head, from which we have a good view of our objective for the day, the descent is followed again, and then the path, which mostly follows the burnt dwarf pines, leads us to the last saddle below the summit. There is some moderate climbing, then the path stands upright and climbs very steeply for a few minutes. Higher up, the path lays down a little, then quickly leads to a scenic and relatively rarely visited summit.
