Dom planincev Farbanca - Tolsti vrh (Dobrovlje)

Access to the starting point:
From Mozirje, take the road to Nazarje and follow the road towards Gornji Grad and Šmartno ob Dreti. Just after Lačja vas, the road turns left in the direction of Čreta and Farbanka (the turn-off is marked). Follow the road, which becomes macadam and starts to climb, in the direction of Farbanka, where you can park near the mountaineers' home (park slightly below the home in one of the parking lots along the road.
From Kamnik, drive over the Črnivec pass to Gornji Grad and follow the road in the direction of the villages Bočna, Šmartno ob Dreti and Nazarje. Just after the village of Pusto polje, you will see a road heading right in the direction of Čreta and Farbanca. Continue following the above description.

Path description:
From the Farbanca Mountaineers' Home, follow the footpath towards Čreta and Tolstego vrh. After a few steps, the trail enters the forest, where it begins to climb moderately to steeply. Only a little further on, the path joins the wide cart track, which climbs gently at first, then steeply and joins the macadam road higher up (you can also walk along the road to get here).
Continue straight ahead and after 2 minutes of further walking the road leads to a crossroads where you continue to the right (left Čreta). From the relatively winding road, however, signs soon direct you to a footpath which climbs a little more and leads you in a few minutes to a place where you join the path from your home on Čreta. Continue to the right along a rather winding path which, after a few steps, leads to a beautiful viewpoint at the large cross.
From the lookout point, which is flanked by two pleasant benches, we have a beautiful view of Vransko and the Posavje hills.
Continue along the gently sloping path, which slightly further for a short time steeply descends, then crosses the occasional steeper slopes and leads us to a small hamlet (farm Rucgar), where we also come to the next crossroads.
Continue to the right in the direction of Tolstego vrh and the NOB monument (to the left Lipa Preval and St Jošt) along a path which begins to climb crosswise up a partly scenic slope. Higher up, the path turns to the right, enters the forest and descends gently for a short distance. After a few minutes of further walking, the path to Tolsti vrh turns sharp left (straight NOB monument 15 minutes) and gradually starts to climb steeper and steeper. This relatively well-marked path is then followed all the way to Tolsti vrh.
Just a few steps below the summit, a beautiful view of Kamnik Savinja Alps opens up, and the path from St. Jošto joins us.
