Access to the starting point:
a) Via Border crossing Brežice / Bregana, drive into Croatia and leave the motorway at the Samobor exit. When you arrive in the above-mentioned place, go south towards Zagreb. At the petrol station at the southern exit of the city, turn right and continue towards the villages of Mirnovec and Kladje. When the road leads to a serpentine pass, turn right into the village of Konščica and then drive west towards the village of Terihaji. Further along the road you will see signs for Dom pod Okićem, which direct you to the left (Starogradska ulica).
b) From Prekmurje and the surroundings of Maribor, first drive to Border crossing Gruškovje / Macelj and continue along the motorway to the Jankomir junction, where you turn left in the direction of Ljubljana and Samobor. Leave the motorway at the exit for Samobor, then continue driving as described above.
Since the parking lot at the cottage is too small for all visitors and it is also quite difficult to reach the cottage from the orientation point of view, I recommend to reach the cottage by the footpath from Novi Selo Okićko.
Path description:
From the crossroads in the east of the Maks Plotnik home, go straight ahead (easy path on the left, Novo selo Okićko and Martin Podgrađe on the right). The path starts on a gently sloping meadow. As the path turns into the forest, the ground will become rockier. We come to a crossroads where the Žoharjeva climbing route goes left, we go right or straight. Our path will now start to descend, and in some places quite steeply. When we reach the lowest point of our route there is a vertical wall above us with some free-climbing directions, we go slightly right and reach the start of the climbing part. At the start there is a traverse to the right, a belayed scramble. After the traverse we will start a very steep climb up the south-eastern rocky slope of Okić. In a few places there are also rungs to help us. The path goes steeply upwards. When we reach a very exposed part, the steepness will be over. There is a lookout "Kak taubeka dva" where you can rest. After the lookout there is another short sheltered part and then the fixed safety gear is over.
After the protected part there are some technically difficult jumps and one short exposed part. From here we have a nice view. The Žoharjeva trail joins us from the left. A few more steep, easy sections over rocky terrain and we will reach the forest. Here the Dragojlina trail ends and we will join the easy trail, where we go right and after a minute we are at the top of Okić. The summit is located in the ruins of an old castle, which is increasingly overgrown by forest.
The trail is named after Dragojla Jarnević, who was the first to climb it. It is considered the first climbing project in Croatia.
