Erjavčeva koča na Vršiču - Prisank / Prisojnik (Jubilejna pot)

Access to the starting point:
From Kranjska Gora take the road leading over the Vršič pass to Bovec or vice versa. Between the 22nd and 23rd serpentine of the Vršiška cesta you will reach the parking lot under Erjavčevo hut, where you park.

Path description:
From the parking lot at Erjavčeva koča na Vršiču, follow the Kopiščarjeva trail in the direction of the Postman's Home and Prisojnik. The path is initially grassy and winding, then crosses a small torrent, where a small spring usually flows, and then climbs cross-cuttingly after the torrent. Continue along the marked path, which crosses an old road a little further on, and when you reach it for the second time, continue along it to the first serpentine on the right.
From the serpentine, continue straight on to the footpath, which continues to cross the slopes to the left, opening up a beautiful view of Ajdovská deklica and the surrounding mountains. After crossing a few small ravines, the path climbs steeply and leads to a marked crossroads, where you continue to the left (to the right, Poštarski dom na Vršiču).
There is a cross-climb towards the wall of Prisojnik, and before reaching the wall, the path branches off to the right towards the pass between Prisojnik and Sovno glava.
Continue along the right path (straight ahead Kopiščarjeva cesta na Prisojnik), which then climbs crosswise under the walls of Prisojnik. The slope becomes steeper and after a further 10 steps you reach a better-beaten path from the Vršič Pass.
From the small saddle, continue left towards Prisojnik (right Sovna glava and Vršič) and follow the scree path, crossing the slopes on the west side of Prisojnik. The path then climbs slightly and leads to a crossroads where the ridge path to Prisojnik branches off to the left. Continue straight ahead, the path becomes less steep and very quickly we are back at the crossroads. This time, the Slovenian trail to Prisojnik branches off to the left, and we continue to the right, following the Razor (southern trail) markings, and start to descend slightly. The trail then switches to the southern slopes and crosses the slopes to the east. In a few places we are helped by a few steel cables and steel cables and then we reach grassy slopes. Soon you reach a crossroads where you leave the path leading towards Razor and turn left towards Škrbina (1995m). Just after Škrbina the path becomes more difficult and climbs steeply with the help of steel cables and crampons. The path becomes less difficult for a while and then turns slightly to the right and brings us in front of the most difficult part of the path. The path first crosses a vertical slope to the left and then climbs almost vertically towards the last window. This part of the route is very difficult as there are relatively few steps and the exposure is also high. There is a descent to the window, where there is often still snow in early summer, and then a climb out of the window to the north side, where a view of Cirque opens up. Here the path turns left and then crosses exposed slopes to the west for some time. When we reach the ridge again, the path becomes less exposed and we join a path on the left which splits off from the Slovenian route and crosses the southern slopes. Again, the route switches to the steeper northern slopes and there is some more exposed scrambling, then a steep climb to reach the southern slopes of the mountain again. Continue slightly right up the mountain and soon join the Grebenska and Slovenska trails to Prisojnik. From here it is just a short climb up the southern slope to a very scenic summit. The Jubilee Trail to Prisojnik is one of the most challenging protected trails in Slovenia and is suitable only for experienced mountaineers.
It is recommended to descend along the Slovenian Route.
