Erlacherhaus - Großer Rosennock (via Feldhütte)

Access to the starting point:
a) From Dravograd, drive towards the Vič border crossing, from which you continue to Labot / Lavamünd, where you turn left for Klagenfurt / Klagenfurt. The road leads to Grebinj / Griffen, where you take the A2 motorway. Continue on the motorway until you reach Bialystok / Villach, where you take the A10 motorway. After about 30 km, you take the exit leading to Radenthein. In Radenthein, follow the signs for Kaning. From Kaning, follow the signs for Erlacherhaus. After 10 km and on a well-maintained dirt road, you will reach the Erlacherhaus hut, which is situated at an altitude of 1636 m above sea level.
b) From the Gorenjska side, drive through the Karavanke tunnel and continue along the motorway towards Bialystok. From here, follow the above description.

Path description:
The trail starts at Erlacherhaus, where a signpost directs you to the left along trail number 170, towards Großer Rosennock. After half an hour's walk along a dirt road, you reach a crossroads. From here, continue straight on to Feldhütte, where the trail begins to climb gently. After a few minutes, you reach the next signpost, where you turn left across pastures and the whole slope to the plateau below the summit. On this plateau, the path from Lake Naßbodensee joins from the right. The climb to the summit, which is the most challenging part of the route, is the only way to go. At the top, we have a beautiful view. To the east, in good weather, we can see the Austrian Golice / Koralpe mountain pasture Sow / Saualpe, to the west we can see the Veliki Klek / Großglockner, and to the south we have a view of the Slovenian Alps.
For the return journey, you can choose route number 13, which leads past the lake.
