Fram - Mariborska koča (via Framski slap)

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Štajerska motorway at exit Fram and follow the signs for Fram. When you reach the main road Slovenska Bistrica - Maribor, continue straight ahead from the semaphoreised intersection into the centre of Fram. Continue through the village, and when you reach the parking lot under the parish church of St. Anne, park in the parking lot in the centre of the village.

Path description:
From the starting point, turn right onto the road in the route Mariborska koča (straight ahead Ruška koča na Arehu), and at the nearby crossroads turn left towards Ranches and start climbing along the Fram brook. When the road to Ranches turns right, we continue straight ahead on a side road, along which the markings continue and there are signs for a fish farm. There are a few small junctions where we follow the markings, but as we move away from the stream the road soon loses its tarmac surface. Higher up, pass a cross and an older house, then descend gently, and before a steel cable, bear slightly right onto a footpath that climbs steeply across a steep slope. The path continues along cart track, and when the path turns right, quickly leave the forest and climb up to the settlement Ranče, where you reach an asphalt road.
Continue through the village, and turn left at the crossroads after the Meglič Inn. Continue on the asphalt road, following the signs, and at a higher level, turn left off the asphalt road onto a dirt road, which leads to a junction of newer trains and roads. Here, follow the signs carefully to choose the right cart track to continue, and follow cart track to the top of Sedovec, which is followed by a short descent to the asphalt road, which is reached by a wooden sculpture.
Continue left towards Mariborska koča (Slivnica on the right) and climb moderately, mostly through the forest, and when you leave the forest, descend to Plahutnik Farm, where from the crossroads continue straight on to the marked cart track, which climbs over a hayfield. Higher up, cross the lane of the forest to reach the hospital for lung diseases, after which cross a wider tarmac road. Climb again through the lane of the forest and when you return to the wider road, follow it to the right, turning left before the left-hand bend onto the cart track, which intersects the longer bend mentioned above. Once on the road again, stay on the road (the marked path to Mariborska koča continues across the road) and continue walking along the edge of the main road. Follow the main road past the road turn-off to the right towards CŠOD Planinka, and about 10 minutes after the crossroads, go slightly left, onto a road that descends past a small house and turns left after it. Before reaching another road a little lower down, turn right onto the initially overgrown cart track, which crosses the slopes to the left. A few minutes crossing follows, crossing two small wells, and as the Framski brook is approached the path turns right and climbs quickly to the Framski waterfall.
Go around the waterfall on the right and climb up the steep slope on a well-maintained and fenced path. Higher up, the path over the bridge leads over the waterfall, then climb up to the nearby road, where you continue to the right for a few steps, then go left in the direction of the Maribor hut. Walk along the main road for about one minute, then turn left at cart track towards Maribor hut. Follow cart track, which turns right a little further on and then climbs through the forest, following the signs at the crossroads. Higher up, you pass an abandoned building, after which you quickly reach the Maribor hut.
