Gabrje - Planinski dom pri Gospodični

Access to the starting point:
From Novo Mesto or Otočec we drive to the village of Velike Brusnice. Continue along the road towards the village of Gabrje. In the centre of Gabrje (just after the inn), you will come to a crossroads where you continue straight ahead in the direction of Šumeči potok (street name). At the end of the street you will see a large parking lot and signs for Gorjance.

Path description:
From the end of the parking lot, continue along the road on the right in the direction of Gorjance. After a few steps, the road has another crossroads, continue left along the upper road, which is getting worse and leads us across the meadow into the forest. The road, which has since turned into cart track, starts to climb. During the ascent, cart track has a few forks, so follow the markings carefully and they will lead you safely upwards. Cart track then slowly turns into a footpath that takes us slightly higher over a scenic meadow from which, with good visibility, we can see the Kamnik and Savinja Alps. The path then climbs for a short time and leads us over a bridge over a small stream. After a few dozen steps, the path leads to the Gospodična well. Here, continue right along the path, which leads us up some gently sloping stairs to the mountain lodge.
