Gradišče na Kozjaku - Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu

Access to the starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd, before the bridge over the Črmenica stream (the stream is located a little before the settlement Ožbalt, from the route of Dravograd, a little after the settlement), turn right (from the route of Dravograd, after the bridge, turn left) in the direction of the settlements of Gradišče and Kapla and Odomovo jezero. Continue along the valley of the Črmenica stream, and at the beginning of the Gradišče na Kozjaku settlement, the road to the Holy Spirit at Ostre Vrh turns off to the right. Continue straight on here, and at the next crossroads turn right towards Austria. Continue past individual houses and when you reach the place where you see the red mountain signs for Sv. Duh na Ostrem Vrhu, the route described above begins. There are no parking places at the starting point, so park somewhere nearby in a suitable place.

Path description:
At the mountain direction sign, turn sharp right onto the side road in the direction of the Holy Spirit at Ostrem Vrh, which quickly leads us to a nearby house, after which we continue along the marked cart track. Walk through the forest for a short distance, then continue along the edge of a larger clearing, at the end of which you return to the forest. There are a few small forks, and we continue straight ahead, following cart track, which continues alongside a stream. Higher up, we leave the stream bed, as the markings direct us right up the slope. A steeper climb follows, and near the pasture, which is to the left above the path, there are a few forks where you continue straight ahead. When the cart track widens and turns left, bear right onto the narrower marked cart track, which crosses a stream and then descends for a short distance. The easy descent ends when the markings direct you left up a path that climbs through the forest. There are a few more forks in the trail, where you can follow the signs carefully. After a while, we leave the forest and climb along the edge of the pasture to a macadam road, which we follow for a short distance. From the road, after a right turn, turn left onto a footpath that climbs through the forest, and after a short climb leads to an asphalt road, which you follow to the left. Follow the asphalt road to the stairs to the right, where you will pass the NOB memorial and the parish church, and climb up to the Church of the Holy Spirit, which is situated on a 904-metre-high hill.
