Gradišče - Vojkova koča na Nanosu (Furlan way)

Access to the starting point:
From Razdrto take the expressway to Nova Gorica or vice versa and take the Vipava exit. Once off the motorway, you will reach the old road, which you follow in the direction of Vipava. Before you reach Vipava, a road branches off to the right and leads towards the village of Gradišče (the branch is marked). Continue up through the village, following the signs for Camping Tura and Gradiška Tura. As we climb above the village, we reach the bivouac and a large parking area where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the road towards Gradiška Tura and Abram. Initially a wide and gently sloping path, it quickly leads us to the first crossroads, where we continue straight on (to the right St Nicholas). After a few more steps, the path leads us to a scree slope, over which we climb crosswise, on a scrub-covered slope. The path continues to climb steeper and steeper and soon leads us to the next crossroads, where we continue to the left, following the signs 'very difficult protected path'. Already at the beginning of the very difficult route, we climb almost vertically up a rocky slope secured with pegs and a rope. The path then becomes less difficult for a few steps, turns slightly to the left and then climbs steeply upwards again along the right-hand steel cable. Continue climbing along the glacis for some time and soon you will reach a viewing platform a few steps off the path to the left. There is also a small bench by the platform, which offers a nice view of the Vipava valley.
From the platform, continue right up the sheltered path to an exposed, narrow ridge, which is well protected by a rope. The path becomes progressively less difficult and soon we reach a crossroads where a less difficult path joins from the right.
Continue along the path, which occasionally climbs quite steeply. Just below the top, you will see an interesting verse on a rock, which you follow for a few steps to the top.
From Gradiška Tura continue along the marked path towards Jez. The path then descends into the forest, where, apart from a few initial steps, it descends. After a few minutes of descending, we reach a crossroads, where we continue straight towards Abram (Vipava on the left). The way forward leads us through a pleasant meadow, surrounded by a sparse forest. After the meadow, we enter the road, where we continue to the right, again in the direction of Abram. Walk along the road for a short distance to the first crossroads, where you turn sharp left to a house on your left. Leave the minor road here and continue right up the marked path, which after a few steps leads to cart track, which you follow to the right. The further path, however, with some short ascents and descents, leads us to the next forest road, which we just cross. A moderate climb follows, first across a meadow, then through the forest to Furlanovo zavetišče pri Abramu. From Furlan's shelter at Abram, which you pass on the left, continue along the road, which after only a few 10 steps leads you to the hunting lodge, in front of which there is a large parking lot.
From the parking lot, continue along the road in the direction of Vojka's hut and Podnanos. The winding road quickly leads to a small hamlet, where you continue along the upper left road. The road continues along the edge of the forest, from where a beautiful view of the Dolomites opens up. Just a little further on, the road passes into a dense forest and leads us to the next crossroads, where we continue straight ahead. Walk through the woods for a few minutes, and then the road leads you to more and more scenic slopes. Here you will notice the signs for Vojko's Cottage, which direct you to the left on a marked, but in parts slightly overgrown, footpath. After an initial climb, the path quickly lays down and leads us onto a plateau-like world. A little further on, we cross a short lane of scrub, and then the path continues for some time across vast and partly overgrown karst meadows. There is a short climb and the path leads to the next road, which you follow down to the right. After a short descent, we leave the road again and continue our ascent to the left, on the marked cart track, which we start to climb, first relatively steeply, then gently. The path continues along the edge of the undistinguished Ječmenovec valley, and at a higher altitude passes into the forest, through which it climbs to an uncultivated saddle, north-west of Laniška Peak (1236 m).
From the saddle, there is a descent to the nearby road leading to Vojka's hut, but we just cross it and continue along the marked mountain path. The trail soon turns slightly to the left and returns to the above-mentioned road higher up. The moderately steep path, from which we occasionally get some views, then alternately continues through the forest and partly along the macadam road. This path is then followed all the way to Vojka's hut on Nanos.
