Access to the starting point:
Drive to Baška grapa or to the settlement Grahovo ob Bači, where you turn onto a side road in the direction of Zakojca, Bukovo and the railway station. After crossing the railway line, go left towards Bukovo (Grahovo railway station on the right) and start climbing. There are some serpentine climbs, and when you reach a crossroads where the road turns sharp right to the nearby Brelih homestead, visible from the road, the route described above begins. Park in a suitable place along the road about 200 metres further on in the direction Bukovo, or lower down along the road.
The starting point can also be reached on foot from Grahovo railway station, which takes about 30 minutes.
Path description:
From the crossroads near the Brelih homestead, turn sharp right and walk to the homestead, then follow the cart track, which ascends across a grassy slope and leads towards the Pušnik homestead. During the ascent across the grassy slope, a beautiful view of the Baška Grapa and Kotel Peak on the other side of the valley opens up, and we pass the information board of the thematic trail Na svoji zemlji. Higher up, we reach the west to north-west ridge, where the path turns left and we continue along the cart track.
Here we get a nice view of Črvov vrh, and at the fork we take the left cart track, which takes us to the Pušnik homestead in a few minutes of further walking.
Go around the house on the right, then take the cart track to the left over the pasture fence (the path going straight on is practically impassable due to the February 2014 fire). Just a little further on, the path ends and we continue across the grassy slope some way east to the south-east, where a traceable path soon appears. The track soon turns to the left and then crosses a hayfield and climbs a wooded ridge, where it turns right. Continue on the traceable forest track, which turns left at a higher level and crosses the slopes.
It is not long before you reach an undistinguished ridge where, with some attention, you see cairn, which points right, straight up the slope or ridge, with traces of its predecessors in parts. The pathless ascent takes only a few minutes and we reach the newer cart track, which we follow to the right. Here, at first, a beautiful view opens up, which reaches all the way to Matajur, but a little further on, the aforementioned difficult path is joined from the right by a path that is difficult to cross because of the thunderstorms. From here, continue along the gently sloping cart track, which gradually widens into a worse road, and then, along the edge of a small valley, descend gently to a marked crossroads, where it joins the path through Žrelo.
From the crossroads go right towards Črvov vrh, then continue on a moderate ascent along a dirt road to a small pass, where you go right towards Bukovo gaja (straight Gorski Vrh).
Just after the crossroads we leave the dirt road, as cairn directs us left on a nicely trodden path, which after a few minutes returns to the dirt road, and we follow it to the left. After crossing the pasture fence, we can see the Bukovo grove on the right, where there is a spring below Črvovi vrh.
From the Bukovo grove, continue along the lower cart track, which leads us towards Črvovo vrh. There is a few minutes of crossing with good views, and then a wide cart track ascends to the summit.
