Horjul - Koreno (gentle path)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Brezovica, then continue in the route Dobrova near Ljubljana. From Dobrova continue in the direction of Horjul, and we drive along the regional road to the above-mentioned place, where we can park in the large parking lot in front of the Metrel factory (we can only park in this parking lot in the afternon and at weekends, as the parking lot is reserved for the company's employees). If we are travelling during the week, we will find a suitable parking space somewhere nearby.
b) From the Koper - Ljubljana motorway, take the Vrhnika exit and then continue in the direction of Horjula. When you arrive in Horjul, turn right at the intersection in the direction Dobrova, and after 50 metres turn right into the parking lot in front of the Metrel factory (you can only park in this parking lot in the afternon and on weekends, as it is reserved for the company's employees). If you are travelling during the week, find a suitable parking space nearby.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the pavement (along the main road leading to Vrzdenec), and we walk along it to the crossroads, where the signs for Koreno direct us to the right. We continue past the NOB monument, the church and the Senior Centre Horjul (DEOS) to the crossroads where the main road to Koreno and Samotorica turns left and we continue straight to the nearby chapel.
At the chapel, the road splits into three parts, and we take the rightmost road, which is also marked as a sloping path (the middle road is a steep path to Koreno). We continue along the initially still sloping asphalt road, which turns into a forest higher up and climbs steeply. The road continues past a few houses, then returns to the forest and leads us out of the forest just before the Ramovš Open Door Farm. We go around the farm on the right-hand side, then start climbing along a worse macadam road, which turns sharply to the right a little higher up and turns into a gradually steeper cart track. Cart track takes you through the forest for a while, then leads you to a place where the path splits into two parts.
If you continue on the left path, you will quickly climb up to an asphalt road, which you will then follow to the right and, with beautiful views, you will climb up to the farm pr'Lenart.
If you continue on the right path, the ascent is a little steeper at first, but then the path becomes more steep and leads to a place where you join the path from Zaklanec and the Prosec prevala. At this crossroads, turn left and walk a few steps to the farm pr'Lenart.
From the farm, turn left and follow the asphalt road for 3 minutes to the Church of St. Mohor on Koren.
