Horjul - Koreno (steep path)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Brezovica, then continue in the route Dobrova near Ljubljana. From Dobrova continue in the direction of Horjul, and we drive along the regional road to the above-mentioned place, where we can park in the large parking lot in front of the Metrel factory (we can only park in this parking lot in the afternoon and at weekends, as the parking lot is reserved for the company's employees). If we are travelling during the week, we will find a suitable parking space somewhere nearby.
b) From the Koper - Ljubljana motorway, take the Vrhnika exit and then continue in the direction of Horjula. When you arrive in Horjul, turn right at the intersection in the direction Dobrova, and after 50 metres turn right into the parking lot in front of the Metrel factory (you can only park in this parking lot in the afternoon and on weekends, as it is reserved for the company's employees). If you are travelling during the week, find a suitable parking space nearby.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the pavement (along the main road leading to Vrzdenec), and we walk along it to the crossroads, where the signs for Koreno direct us to the right. We continue past the NOB monument, the church and the Senior Centre Horjul (DEOS) to the crossroads where the main road to Koreno and Samotorica turns left and we continue straight to the nearby chapel.
At the chapel, the road splits into three parts, and we take the middle road, which is also marked for a steep path (the right-hand road leads to a gentle path to Koreno). The path ahead takes us past a goat house, and then leads us to the yard of a few houses nearby. Continue through the courtyard and then, after the houses, turn left at cart track. Walk along the wide cart track for a short distance, and then the signs for the old steep path direct you sharp right onto the grassy cart track, which leads you out of the woods and into the nearby pastures. Above the pasture, the path turns left and returns to the forest. There is a short, slightly steeper climb and the path leads us under an electricity pylon, and we continue left at the electricity pylon back into the forest. The path continues for some time climbing relatively steeply through the forest, then arriving at a hay field, where we first reach a wooden bench, and above it we reach cart track, which we follow crosswise to the right. Before reaching the tarmac road, cart track turns sharp left and after a few steps further walking leads to the aforementioned tarmac road. Follow the above-mentioned road to the right, and it will quickly lead you to a place where a sloping path joins from the right.
Continue along the road, and we will climb it, enjoying the increasingly beautiful views, to the farm pr'Lenart.
From the farm, turn left and follow the asphalt road up to the Church of St. Mohor on Koren in 3 minutes' walk.
