Hrastnik - Dom v Gorah

Access to the starting point:
Hrastnik can be reached from three directions.
a) From Ljubljana, drive along the Sava River towards Trbovlje and then Hrastnik. At Hrastnik, turn right over the bridge and then right shortly after the bridge and park in the parking lot in front of the railway station.
b) Coming from Zidani Most, take the narrower road to Hrastnik. After a few metres, turn strictly right back to the parking lot in front of the railway station.
c) If you are coming from Celje, Laško, then in Rimske toplice take the route Dol pri Hrastniku (right) and then pass Dol pri Hrastniku to Hrastnik. There, at a major crossroads, turn left towards the old factories and then left again a few hundred metres before the bridge to the railway station. Park there and continue on the road to the railway station.

Path description:
Behind the railway station, there is a sign for Gore on a steel cable. There are a few steps between the scarp and the mountains, then you will soon see a sign saying that it takes an hour and a half to get to the mountains. First the path winds between houses, part of the way along the road. At the beginning the path is a little steeper. Then turn right off the road (follow the signs) into the meadows. Walk along the meadows, on the lower side of the cottages, and then the path turns into the wods. The path through the wods slopes upwards only slightly. Soon you come to a meadow again, between orchards. The path leads up the meadow to the road. At the road, bear right and you will immediately reach the main road leading to Gore. Follow the road up through the wods and then between the houses. Between the houses, signs point straight ahead and then to cart track. Follow cart track. After about an hour's walk, you will reach a crossroads where the path climbs left into the forest. Follow the signs and the path through the forest. The path here is initially more level, but then begins to climb steeply. Out of the forest you will come to a macadam road where you turn right. You will soon see the local church on your right, pass a house on the left and you will be at the cottage.
