Hrastovec - Skalni vrh (Vodemla) (on ridge)

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Maribor motorway, take the Žalec exit and then continue towards Velenje. At the main roundabout (2nd roundabout) in Velenje, under the ski jump, continue straight on (2nd exit) in the route Šoštanj - Mozirje. Then turn right at the traffic lights. Go straight ahead, over the railway line, uphill to the next roundabout. Take the 3rd exit in the direction of the city stadium. Follow the next roundabout, taking the 1st exit towards Škale - Graška gora. Go past the stadium and the Škale lake to Škale. Follow the crossroads and turn right towards Cirkovce. Go through Hrastovec to the signpost marking the end of the village.
Park here or higher up the road in a suitable place.

Path description:
From the sign marking the end of Hrastovec, follow the road up. After less than 100 m, look out for a manhole on the right-hand side of the road. Leave the road here and enter the meadow.
Walk along the edge of the wood for about 100 m and then turn left onto the path into the wood.
Soon cross the forest logging trail and continue along the ridge. From here on follow the yellow markings. Cross the forest logging trail again. The path now follows a wide ridge steeply uphill.
When we reach the clearing, we get a beautiful view of the whole Šaleška valley with the hills in the background.
The Posavje hills (from Gozdnik to Čemšeniška mountain pasture), Mount Oljka, Golte, Smrekovec, Raduha and Peca are visible. A little further along the ridge, the path ends and joins the forest logging trail.
Follow it past the stern and the power line to where the sign for Skalni vrh points to the left. Follow the signs. After about 5 minutes you will reach the summit.
