Hunting lodge LD Libeliče - Šteharski vrh (Šteharnikov vrh)

Access to the starting point:
a) From Slovenj Gradec or the Mežiška Valley, drive to Dravograd, then turn left before the bridge over the Drava River in the direction of Črneče and Libeliče. Cross the Mežá River first, then go through Črneče and later through Gorce. After Gorce, you arrive at Libeliče, where you turn left at the chapel. The asphalt road then gradually leads to Ridlov trench, where it begins to climb, and at the crossroads follow the signs for the hunting lodge or hunting lodge Libeliče. Park in the marked parking lot about 100 metres in front of the hunting lodge.
b) Drive to Dravograd, then continue to Slovenj Gradec. Shortly after the bridge over the Drava River, turn right towards Črneče and Libeliče. Cross the Meža River first, then drive through Črneče and later through Gorce. After Gorce, you will arrive at Libeliče, where you will turn left at the chapel. The asphalt road then gradually leads to Ridlov trench, where it begins to climb, and at the crossroads follow the signs for the hunting lodge or hunting lodge Libeliče. Park in the marked parking lot about 100 metres in front of the hunting lodge.
c) Cross Border crossing Ljubelj or Jezerski vrh into Austria, then follow signs for Pliberk / Bleiburg and then Labot / Lavamünd. Before Labot, before crossing the River Drava, signs for Potoče / Bach and Libeliče / Leifling direct you to the right onto a slightly narrower road. Continue through Potoče, and soon after, via Border crossing Libeliče, we arrive in Slovenia, where we pass under the parish church in Libeliče, past the firemen's home, and after the firemen's home, the road turns left at the chapel towards Dravograd, and we continue straight on, gradually arriving at Ridlov graben, where the road begins to climb, and at the crossroads we follow the signs for the hunting lodge or hunting lodge Libeliče. Park in the marked parking lot about 100 metres in front of the hunting lodge.

Path description:
From the starting point, walk to the nearby hunting lodge LD Libeliče, which you pass on the right and take the slightly worse road up to the nearby farm, where the road turns into cart track. After the farm, cart track turns right, and at the view hay meadows, back to the left. Continue for a short distance with fine views from Huhnerkogel through Dravograd to Pohorje, then cart track passes into the woods, where it widens into a forest road at a small junction.
Continue straight on, and at the next junction turn slightly left. When you leave the forest again, you will quickly reach the Gampret homestead, from where you will have a beautiful view of the forested Šteharski vrh. After the farmhouse, the road returns to the forest and gradually starts to descend. A few minutes of gentle to moderate descent follow, and then the road, from which we occasionally still get some views, begins to climb to a crossroads of several roads.
From the crossroads, continue straight on the cart track (the left road leads to the Church of the Holy Cross, the right road leads to Ravne na Koroškem, and the sharp right road leads to Strojna or Libeliče), which is a steeper climb, and then continue the ascent until you reach the marked trail, which starts at Ravne na Koroškem.
Continue straight ahead and in a few 10 steps of gentle ascent you will reach Šteharski vrh.
