Jablje Castle - Rašica (Vrh Staneta Kosca)

Access to the starting point:
a) First, take the Trstina bypass (to get here from the Tomačevo roundabout or Domžale), then continue driving towards Kamnik. Just before the end of Trzin, signs for Jablje direct you left onto a narrow local road. Follow the road to the hamlet of Jablje, where you can park in one of the car parks near Jablje Castle (parking is not allowed in the immediate vicinity of the castle, or only for guests).
b) From Kamnik, take the Mengeš road to Ljubljana. As soon as you reach Trzin, turn right and continue driving towards the hamlet of Jablje, where you can park in a suitable place next to the castle of the same name.

Path description:
At the parking lot we see the signs for Rašica, which direct us to the forest road, which begins to climb gently through the forest. Soon, the path splits into two parts, where you can either continue to the right along the footpath, or straight along the road. If you continue on the road, at the next crossroads turn right onto cart track, which joins the marked footpath mentioned above. The ascent continues through a dense forest, through which you climb on old tractor trains. At the crossroads, keep to the right, and the path, which completely lays down for a few minutes in between, quickly leads to the asphalt road leading from the village of Loka towards Dobene.
At the Ručigaj inn, where you reach the asphalt road, continue left and climb along it, taking in the increasingly beautiful views. The higher marked path crosses the road a few times and then leads to the Dobeno hram inn.
From here, continue along the "main" road for a while and then you will come to a large parking lot with a bench and a chapel.
From the parking lot, follow the asphalt road as it ascends, and at the junctions follow it towards the Doma na Rašica. With fine views of Posavsko hribovje and partly also of Kamnik Savinja Alps, we quickly reach a hamlet where the mountain direction signs for Dom na Rašica direct us to the right to the initially wide cart track. Here the path turns into a forest, and we carefully follow the signs at the crossroads so that we don't miss the right path in the maze of dirt tracks and paths. Higher up, the wide track descends slightly and then begins a moderate climb towards the Lodge on Rašica, which is reached after a few minutes of further walking.
From the house, continue along the winding path towards the lookout tower, which is reached after a further minute's walk. For a nice view, it is worth climbing the 17 m high lookout tower.
