Janževski Vrh (Uran) - Janževski vrh

Access to the starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd, before the village of Brezno, turn left (right from the route of Dravograd) in the direction of Podvelka, Ribnica na Pohorju and Ribniška hut. After the bridge over the Drava River, we arrive at Podvelka, and we continue along the road in the direction of Ribnica na Pohorju. The road ahead leads to the village of Janževski Vrh, and we follow the valley of the Velka stream to the crossroads by the Uran pub and shop, where the road to Lovrenec and Lehn na Pohorju branches off to the left. Park in the small parking lot at the crossroads.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the main road towards Ribnica na Pohorju, walk along it for about 100 metres, and then the signs direct you sharp right onto the newly surfaced path, which climbs steeply at first. After a few minutes, we reach cart track, where the trail dips a little and we follow the signs at the crossroads. A little higher up, we reach an area that has been hit by a windstorm, and the path has been somewhat destroyed by the rehabilitation, so a little more care is needed here to make sure we don't miss the right path. The way ahead leads us to the wider cart track, after which we exit the forest and a little further on reach the lonely house of the abandoned Radih homestead.
We continue for a short time with fine views of Pohorje, and then the path, which continues along the road, turns into the forest. Climb for a few minutes cross-climbing to the left, then by the Urnavt farm continue right on the marked cart track. Follow the cart track, where at the crossroads you follow the markings again, and then emerge from the forest onto the grassy slopes, where the path disappears. Continue straight up towards a nearby house, passing it on the right, and when you reach cart track follow it to the right. Go left past a small garage and climb along the edge of the wood, where a marker directs you left into the wood. There is a short lane climb through the forest, then up a grassy slope to the church and hunting hut on Janževski vrh in a minute or two.
