Janževski Vrh (Uran) - Ribnica na Pohorju

Access to the starting point:
From the road Maribor - Dravograd, before the village of Brezno, turn left (right from the route of Dravograd) in the direction of Podvelka, Ribnica na Pohorju and Ribniška hut. After the bridge over the Drava River, we arrive at Podvelka, and we continue along the road in the direction of Ribnica na Pohorju. The road ahead leads to the village of Janževski Vrh, and we follow the valley of the Velka stream to the crossroads by the Uran pub and shop, where the road to Lovrenec and Lehn na Pohorju branches off to the left. Park in the small parking lot at the crossroads.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the main road towards Ribnica to Pohorje. After 100 metres, the marked path to Janževski vrh branches off to the right, and we continue along the road, which leads us past the blacksmith's forge at Kovač and the chapel. The settlement of Janževski Vrh soon ends, and we continue along the main road for some time. At a few small crossroads we continue straight on, but when the marked trail turns right into the Slivniška ditch, we leave the main road and continue right towards Pesnik.
The way ahead leads along a folded macadam road, which runs along the Slivnica stream, and at a marked crossroads go left, again towards Pesnik. A slightly steeper climb follows, and higher up we get some views of the surrounding hills. Higher up, follow the signs at a few crossroads, then pass the Church of St Lenart on the right, which is located above the cemetery and is about 2 minutes from the trail. The way ahead leads past a few more chapels, then back to the main road, which you follow to the right. A little further on from the crossroads, we arrive at Ribnica na Pohorju, and the village centre is a few minutes' easy walk away.
