Jesenice (Ukova) - Jelenkamen (via Dole)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lipce (Jesenice East), where you turn right towards Jesenice. At the first traffic light intersection on Slovenski Javornik turn left towards the town centre. At the second traffic light intersection (by the gymnasium) turn sharp right back onto Tomšičeva cesta, passing the primary school on the left. After the school, cross the pedestrian crossing and immediately turn into the first (narrower) street on the left. After climbing a few 10 m, you will see a marked parking lot on the right - our starting point.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the road uphill. After 10 m, you will see the Ukova summer bath on the left and the road on the right, which turns north uphill into the forest.
Follow it for a short distance, i. e. to the right-hand bend, in front of which, on the same side, is a fenced water reservoir. On the other - left - side, take the path that intersects the double curve of the road you have left. Here you will also come across the first signpost. Cross the road again quickly and take the path which starts to climb northwards. When it turns left a little higher up, it joins the cart track, where we come across the route sign "Pristava Jelenkamen".
Here, turn right along cart track, which quickly leads to the first small bridge (the Ukova stream) and immediately afterwards to the second one. After this, the marked path turns right and a little later left in a south-east direction. Continue climbing moderately for some time along and along the winding, cart track-like path, keeping to the main - left path at all times. When the path is laid, you will see a sign on the right on a tree "Chapel" and a small rise called Kalvarija, on which there is a chapel and a bench. Continue straight on our path, which narrows a little and turns left. Immediately afterwards, you will come across a small waterhole with the inscription "Pristava". Here we cross a small (mostly dry) stream bed and on the right we come across a bench with a drinking water spring. At this point, leave the marked trail and turn sharp left to the north, into the steep valley (ravine) between the slopes of hills Jelenkamen and Lenčkov Špik. Soon after the path ascends, ignore the steep gully on the right and continue along the path that follows the edge of the main gully (the valley mentioned above). The occasionally steep, gently winding path that leads in a north-easterly direction is partly groomed to make it easier to cross the obstacles. As you walk along, you can see the rather steep slope of the adjacent hill on the other, left-hand side of the ravine. A small bridge helps us to cross one of the smaller ravines from the slope on the right. Higher up, ignore the left fork to the main gully and continue on our ascending path along the slope on the right. At the part of the path where the gully loses its depth, the path briefly dips and then climbs steeply again towards the top. When we emerge from the forest, we find ourselves at the foot of a steep tunnel called Dole. Here the path turns right, back into the forest and soon leads us to a crossroads at the bottom, where we step onto the marked path and turn right (left Dom Pristava, sharp left to the slope of Lenčkov Špik, Španov vrh. . . ). After a slight ascent, the path on the wide forested ridge of Jelenkamna lays down and occasionally even descends a little. A few minutes before the finish, the less visible eastern path joins us from the left, and after a slight climb we finally reach the southern edge of the Jelenkamn summit ridge, where a beautiful view of Gorenjska opens up. We come across a bench and a box with a signing-in book, located on the trunk of a tree on the right.
