Access to the starting point:
From the southern Ljubljana ring road, take the Ljubljana - Rudnik exit and continue towards Ig. At the roundabout at Igo, turn "left" (direction of exit Kurešček) and then after a few 100 m make a sharp right uphill (again direction Kurešček). Continue along a relatively wide and ascending road, which is then followed through the villages of Škrilje and Golo. Higher up, the road levels out a little and soon leads into the forest, where we become alert. We soon see signs for the Old Sawmill along the road, but from here we follow the main road for just over 100 m to the next turning to the right. Continue along the forest road, following it straight ahead at the first crossroads, and then sharp right at the second crossroads, where you will also see some planned direction signs. Continue along the cross-climbing road, which turns slightly to the left at a higher level and then, after a short descent, leads to a crossroads of several roads. Park in one of the roadside car parks near this junction.
Path description:
At the crossroads, take a sharp left (as seen from the route of the described access to the starting point) and continue your ascent along the forest road, which climbs moderately through the forest. After a short climb, you will reach an undistinguished pass between Lomnik (1005 m) and Božič's Štand (990 m), after which the road gradually begins to descend gently. A little further on, you reach a marked crossroads, where you turn right in the route Krvava Peč (left Kurešček) and continue along the path of couriers and weasels. The road then begins to descend more visibly and after a while leads to the next junction. Continue right in the route Krvava Peč (left Repičnikovo bezno, and one of the paths to Kurešček) along the road, which descends for some time, and then leads to the Home of the Veterans of the War for Slovenia.
There is a registration box with a stamp by the home, and we continue to the nearby crossroads, from which we have two options for continuing.
Continue to the right (straight on the St. Lenart road) and continue along the road that leads through the western part of the village. Soon, however, the signs for Krvava Cliff direct us to the left (right foot of Krvava Cliff, Šumnik spring and remains of mills and Iška Bed'n) past the garden and houses to a grassy slope over which we continue in a cross-climb. Higher up, the path passes into a short lane of compacted forest and leads to the Krvava Cliff lookout point. From the viewpoint, which also has a bench with a table, continue to the left and after a short climb get onto a macadam road, which you follow to the left, and follow it for a few 10 steps to reach the top, where the Church of St Lenart stands.
