Kamnik - Visoka špica (direct way)

Access to the starting point:
Take the Kamnik bypass from Ljubljana towards Tuhinj. At the first traffic lights, turn right towards the health centre, where you can park your car in a large parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, go straight past the health centre and then right along the narrow asphalt road to a small workers' container, where you turn left into the forest. The track leads into a deep woded ravine, which immediately gives way to a sharp left and then right again. Walk parallel and almost horizontally over the aforementioned ravine for a few ten metres, then turn left and climb quite steeply up to the cross path (kolovoz) leading to the Old Castle. Here turn right and straight ahead along cart track for some 10 metres to the first crossroads, where turn left. After a few 10 metres you are back at the crossroads. Both paths lead to a cross asphalted road leading from Kamnik to Stari grad. We cross it and climb steeply up the forested slope of Visoke špica. The two paths merge back into one, which soon takes us to the summit, which is overloked by a number of viewing benches and a signing-in book.
