Kandrše (Trata) - Slivna (Pivkelj) (via Sveti Florjan)

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the Štajerska motorway at exit Krtina, then follow signs for Moravče and Zagorje ob Savi. Just after the road sign marking the beginning of Kandrše, you will reach a pass near the hamlet of Trata, where you turn left and park in the gravel parking lot opposite the company Strip's, elektrotehnika - elektronika, d. o. o.

b) Drive to Izlake (to get here take Trojane or Zagorje ob Savi, then continue driving in the direction of Moravce. In Kandrše, at Strip's, elektrotehnika - elektronika, d. o. o. , turn right and park in the gravel parking lot by the mountain direction signs.

Path description:
From the parking lot, first carefully cross the main road and continue along the side road in the direction of GEOSS and Vač. The way forward leads past the fire house of the fire brigade PGD Kandrše and Napoleon's Stone, and at the sign for the beginning of the municipality of Litija, turn left off the asphalt road onto cart track. Walk along cart track until you enter the forest, then signs direct you to the right (straight unmarked path to Slemšek), where you climb through lane of the forest. After a short climb, we return to the asphalt road and follow it up to a nearby crossroads, where we leave the road towards Vače and GEOSS and continue right on a side road, which leads us to a small hamlet where the road ends. Pass all the houses on the left and continue along the cart track, which descends gently at first and then ascends gently across the meadow to the hamlet of Strmca. Here, rejoin the road and climb past houses and a sign to a less well-marked crossroads, where you go right downhill (you can follow the road on the left to reach Slivna and GEOSS). There is some downhill and you arrive in the municipality of Moravče, with a fine view from the path, which reaches the Kamniško Savinjske Alps. A little further on, we arrive in Gora pri Pečah, where we continue slightly left from the crossroads towards Zgornja Gora
There is a cross-country climb, and then another slight left turn (slightly to the right to the hamlet of Dolina), and a few minutes higher up you reach the hamlet of Zgornja Gora, where there is a crossroads of marked trails.

A marked trail leads sharp left towards GEOSS, and we continue straight on, following the signs for the trail around Slivna. Above the hamlet, the road becomes steeper and in a few minutes leads us to the church of St Florian, from which we have a beautiful view of Posavsko hribovje, and in good visibility the view reaches all the way to the Alps.
From the church, continue along the road, which transitions into a forest and climbs moderately for the most part. Higher up, we leave the forest and pass a hunting observation post to reach a crossroads, where we turn left onto the path towards Pivklja (straight ahead Planinski dom Ušte - Žerenk).
There is some easy walking along the edge of the forest, and then the signs lead us into the forest and the path descends. The descent does not take long, but after a few minutes of ascent we reach cart track, where we go left (to the right we reach the top of the Ušenišče quarry, which is also pointed out by a rather old warning sign). Follow the gently sloping cart track to the next marked crossroads, where the signs for Pivkelj direct you to the right (straight ahead Zgornja Slivna and GEOSS).
It takes about 5 minutes of climbing to reach a wooded summit where you can rest on a bench.
