Kandrše (Trata) - Sveti Mihael (Križate)

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the Štajerska motorway at exit Krtina, then follow signs for Moravče and Zagorje ob Savi. Just after the road sign marking the beginning of Kandrše, you will reach a pass near the hamlet of Trata, where you turn left and park in the gravel parking lot opposite the company Strip's, elektrotehnika - elektronika, d. o. o.

b) Drive to Izlake (to get here take Trojane or Zagorje ob Savi, then continue driving in the direction of Moravce. In Kandrše, at Strip's, elektrotehnika - elektronika, d. o. o. , turn right and park in the gravel parking lot by the mountain direction signs.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the road in the direction of Limbarska gora, Golčaj and Vrha pri Mlinšah. At first, we walk along the gently sloping asphalt road, which leads us across the meadow, and at the hamlet of a few houses, the markings direct us to the left side road, from which we immediately go left again (straight marked path to Limbarska gora) and climb up to the nearby church of St. Lenart, which opens up a beautiful view that reaches all the way to the Zasavska Svete gora.
From the church, we quickly return to the marked path and then continue along the dirt road which climbs up to the pass between Jerščeva gorica (586 m) on the left and Kandrše hill on the right. At the pass, leave the road leading to the nearby homestead and continue slightly right on the marked cart track, which descends through the forest. The path soon becomes level and then, passing a cross and an older chapel, you reach an asphalt road which you follow northwards. We quickly reach a hamlet of a few houses, where we go left at the chapel down to the nearby church, which we can see from our path for a few minutes. After a short descent, we arrive at St Michael's Church, which was renovated in 2015.
