Kneške Ravne - Vogel (via Vogel a bit differently)

Access to the starting point:
From Kneža (reached from Podbrdo or Most na Soči) turn towards Kneški Ravne. When the road to the village turns off to the left, continue straight ahead for a little while until you reach a sharp bend (a lock) where you park.

Path description:
We take the road to the right over the barrier. The path leads to the hunting huts, where you turn right onto a clearly visible path. (On the right side where the wooden hut stands, you can pass by it on a less visible path to the Ravenska Ovčja Suha ridge and follow it to the Suha saddle. Before the trail turns right higher up in the forest towards the ridge, you can also turn left on the old smuggler's trail which leads to the Gate; note the trail higher up on the grass is not easy to follow).
As soon as you get on the marked path, turn left across the torrent and after a few steps at the first spruce tree turn immediately right onto a faintly visible path. Continue through the wods or along an undistinguished valley that runs in a direction slightly to the right of Vogel. The path is a bit there, a bit not, and when you get higher up to the old scree bogs it gets lost. However, orientation is not difficult, as you are always following the route of the main ravine descending to the right of the Vogel. A couple of 100 m higher, you can see the main gully ahead: on the left, the main gully, on the right, a slightly smaller rocky gully, and in the middle between dwarf pines, a third small gully: this is the one you climb straight up to the north (difficult potholes, helmet recommended). When the gully ahead ends with a wall, about 50 m before the wall, turn right at dwarf pines, where a nice passage between rocks and grasses leads to a small narrow rubble gully. Climb up this and when the gully starts to split turn right and follow the light grassy ridge to the ridge where you will step onto the marked path towards Vogel.
Continue to Vogel.
Descent:
Descend to the saddle between Vogel and Žabiská Kuk. Continue to the Žabiški Kuk. From there descend to Močile, where you will take the marked mulatier to the left, which will lead you to the starting point. When you pass the spring at the lowest part of the path, turn right onto the unmarked path towards Kneškim Ravne (inscription on a rock). When you reach the ruined hut, continue down through the wods, keeping to the left of the meadow. When you reach cart track (the newer logging trail), follow it first right and then left to a larger farm. At this farm on the left, follow the fainter cart track slightly left uphill to a ridge and then slightly downhill. After about 100 m, you see a deserted but clearly visible track down to the right, which leads into a gully by a stream. At the stream where the fence ends, turn down by the water and after about 100 m you will see our starting point on the left.
