Kompas hotel Ribno - Ribenska gora (on south slope)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lesce and head towards Bled, where at the second junction turn left onto the road leading to Ribno. After driving for about two kilometres, follow the road through the village until it ends at the parking lot of the Kompas Hotel Ribno.

Path description:
From the parking lot, head straight ahead and slightly right (south) towards the edge of the cliff on which the hotel stands, where you will immediately come across a path leading right into the forest. Here you will also come across the first direction sign with the inscription Ribenska gora. Take the path that leads you to the southern slope of Ribenska Gora. After a short, gentle walk, you will come across the next direction sign, which directs you right uphill on a slightly narrower path towards the summit (the straight path that circles Ribenska Gora). There follows a few minutes of climbing in the keys on a path through the forest. As it becomes more sparse, we come across some rocks and a "Jak's bench" where we can rest. The path, which is becoming more and more scenic, splits immediately above the bench. Take the left (right descent option) and follow the slightly rocky, exposed path to the top of Ribena Gora, which is also known as "Cirkel".
