Koroška Bela - Malnež

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lipce and turn right towards Jesenice. At the first traffic lights (Javornik) turn right in the route Lj. At the second traffic-lighted junction turn left and go under the railway underpass, and at the next smaller junction turn right towards Koroška Bela. Go into a village running NE, where you can park in a suitable place (e. g. a block of flats near the fire station). You can continue driving.

Path description:
(On foot or by car) find the crossroads in the centre of the village, where the church memorial is located. From here, follow the main road through the village, which goes uphill to the NE. After about 100 m, cross the bridge over the Bela stream on the right, where you can see markings nearby (Stranska cesta), indicating the way to Valvazor's house. Continue along the asphalt road between two houses (the appearance of a courtyard), which turns right here, slightly uphill.
After some 10 m, turn left off the road, onto the logging trail, which begins to climb in an easterly direction, towards the forest. Soon after logging trail (the path) turns left, it is joined by a path from the right at a small stream, and we continue left on logging trail, which then turns right uphill. Soon we come to a fork in the path from the right, where we continue to the left, following logging trail, and then to the left, where we continue to the right, which basically means that we keep to the main, most steeply sloping, twisted logging trail all the time. This then turns left, quite steeply uphill, towards the north. As the slope begins to ease, you come to a seemingly triple fork, where you continue left, soon crossing a small stream. From here, follow the beaten track on the left logging trail to a wooden hut on the edge of a small ravine. Here we head perpendicularly to the left, on the forest ridge Malnež, along which a beautiful path quickly leads us to the western edge, where it turns slightly to the left and leads us along a (less necessary, thinner and looser) steel path to a lookout point with a bench and a large cross.
