Kranjska Gora - Srnjak

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the exit Jesenice - west (Hrušica), then continue in the direction of Kranjska Gora. In Kranjska Gora, at the crossroads where the road to the pass Vršič branches off to the left, continue straight on, and we will pay attention after the end of the place, because on the right side of the road we will notice signs for the inn Srnjak, which will direct us to the right over the bridge over the river Sava Dolinka. On the other side of the bridge, park in a suitable place on the roadside.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the road that descends imperceptibly parallel to the Sava Dolinka river. After 100 m you reach a crossroads, where you turn left and quickly enter the forest. Once in the forest, the road starts to climb moderately, but soon turns left, where it then climbs crosswise over sometimes quite scenic slopes (opening up a view of the Julian Alps). Higher up, the road makes a sharp right turn, and then after a good 10 minutes of further walking leads us to the Srnjak Inn.
