Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Idrija, then continue to Tolmin. When you arrive in Dolenja Trebuša, leave the main road and drive left towards Čepovan. At the next crossroads, where the road to Oblakov Vrh turns off to the left, turn right and continue past the church in Dolenjja Trebusa. A little higher up, the road splits into two parts again. This time continue slightly left in the direction of Gorenja Trebuša and the fish farm. Follow the road towards Gorenja Trebuša for about 3 km and then you will reach the Makuc Inn, next to which there is a parking area and signs for the Pršjak waterfall.
b) From Most na Soči or Podbrdo, drive to Bača pri Modreju and then continue towards Idrija. When you arrive in Dolenja Trebuša, leave the main road and continue driving to the right in the direction of Čepovan. At the next crossroads, where the road to Oblakov Vrh branches off to the left, turn right and continue past the church in Dolenjja Trebusa.
Path description:
At the parking lot, you will see signs for the Pršjak waterfall, which direct you to a cart track that continues along the left bank of the stream. A little further on, you reach a footbridge, cross it and climb steeply for a short distance on the other side. After a short climb, join a slightly wider path that runs along the right bank of the Pršjak stream. The path continues to climb crosswise, occasionally crossing some steeper slopes, but as the path is wide enough, this does not present any major problems in dry conditions. After a good 20 minutes of walking, we arrive at a precipitous lookout point, from which we have a beautiful view of Waterfall Slap v Sopotih and above it the Little Waterfall in Sopot.
At the lookout point, the relatively easy trail ends, and if you wish, you can continue on to the other waterfalls.
If we decide to continue, the path leads us along a slightly wider path, which crosses very steep partly grassy slopes. All the way across, we have a nice view into the depths where the Sopot Waterfall falls. The crossing, which is not difficult in dry conditions, ends quickly and the path returns to the forest. Once in the forest, cross the slopes for a while and then, to the right below us, you will see several small waterfalls with beautiful pools. Above the pools the path leads us to the ruins of a former homestead, and the increasingly overgrown path leads us a little further to the next homestead, which is still in relatively good condition. Here, a rather overgrown path branches off to the right to the fifth waterfall and further along the riverbed to Trentar's waterfall. The waterfalls above Trentar's waterfall are more difficult to reach, and can be reached by returning to the nearby homestead and continuing along the path from there.
