Kuren - Koča na Planini nad Vrhniko

Access to the starting point:
Take the Vrhnika (to get here from Ljubljana or Logatec) and turn left at the petrol station towards Stara Vrhnika (from Ljubljana direction right and from Logatec direction left). Continue along the road past Stara Vrhnika and shortly afterwards you will see the Zaplana signs on the left. Take this road, which starts to climb and takes you a little higher to a small hamlet near the church. Park in the parking lot on the right-hand side of the road by the Kuren signs.

Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, on the left side of the road (in the route of ascent), you will see a wide path that crosses a meadow in a gentle downhill. After a few minutes' walk, join the path from the lower starting point. Continue right on cart track, which climbs gently past the pasture you see on your left. The path then starts to climb a little more and after a while the path gets quite close to the forest road. Continue left along the path, which after a few minutes leads to a forest road. Turn left here and follow the road until you reach the shelter at Mountain pasture, which is reached after a five-minute walk. For a view, climb the nearby lookout tower.
