Kurja vas - Kovinarska koča v Krmi

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Gorenjska motorway at exit Jesenice - West (Hrušica) and continue driving towards Kranjska Gora. A little before Dovje, leave the main road and turn left in the direction of Mojstrana and the valleys of Vrata, Kot and Krma. Before crossing Triglav Bistrica, signs for Radovna, Kot and Krma direct you left onto a slightly narrower road that climbs past a few houses. The road starts to climb steeply above Mojstrana and leads us past the TNP sign to Kosmačev preval, where the road to the Kot valley branches off to the right. Here we continue straight ahead and follow the road, which starts to descend gently, to the first crossroads, where we continue steeply downhill to the right (towards Kovinarska koča, Humped meadows and Pocarjeva homestead). The asphalt road continues to lay down quickly, leads us past a few houses, and then crosses over a larger meadow. On the other side of the meadow we reach the hamlet of Kurje vasi, where Pocarjeva homestead is also located, and we follow the road for another 100 m to a marked parking area at the junction of the road leading from the direction of Bled.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the macadam road towards the Kovinarska hut in Krma. The gently sloping road initially leads us along the edge of the forest, then it turns into the forest and climbs slightly more moderately. From the path, where we stick to the main road at all times, we occasionally get some views of the surrounding peaks and walls, but otherwise the path is without any special views. After a good half an hour's walk from the starting point, we reach Zasipska mountain pasture, from where we get a nice view of the mountains above the Krma valley, and we continue to the left and, after a short ascent, we reach Kovinarska hut in the aforementioned valley.
