Kuzma - Planinska koča Rak

Access to the starting point:
a) From the Murska Sobota - Hodoš road in Gornji Petrovci turn left towards Kuzma, then follow the main road to Kuzma, where you can park in the middle of the village at the roundabout in a marked parking area.
b) Take Gederovci (to get here from Radenci or Murska Sobota, then follow the signs for Kuzma. When you arrive in Kuzma, park in the parking lot by the roundabout.

Path description:
From the roundabout in the centre of Kuzma, we turn onto the road to Austria, and we first walk along the pavement that leads us under the parish church of St. Damijan and St. Kozma, and a little further on we pass a small memorial park. After the Post Office of Slovenia and the senior citizens' home, leave the main road or pavement and continue slightly left on a side road, along which you will see the red mountain signs for the Rak Mountain Hut a little further on. About 200 m further, go left again and start climbing moderately on a narrower asphalt road. The road leads us over a scenic slope, and when we reach the edge of the forest, where there is a bench on the right for a rest, we go left.
Just after the crossroads you will see signs for the Pomurska planinsko trail, which point to the right, but beware. There is a supplementary sign next to it, which says to go right in 80 m.
So follow cart track, and after about 80 m go right and continue between the fields, where, with a nice view, you will descend to another asphalt road, which you follow to the right. The road soon leads to a junction with a macadam road, and we go left to where the mountain direction sign also points. Here the path starts to visibly climb again, and at the nearby crossroads by some houses we go left. We continue to climb between fields and a few houses, and after the last houses we continue straight on cart track, which we follow into the forest, where we reach another road. Follow the road to the left, and it leads you past several large transmitters. The way ahead leads us past a small hamlet, where the path to Sotina branches off to the right, and we continue straight on, walking along the tarmac road, which may also run parallel to the road for a short distance.
At the crossroads we continue straight ahead The scenic route, which leads us between occasional houses, then turns left off the road down onto the grassy cart track. After cart track you pass a hunting observatory, then the path turns slightly to the right and quickly leads you past a house to an asphalt road, which you follow down to the left, where after a few steps you reach the Nightingale Sports and Recreation Centre. After the parking lot of the above-mentioned centre, turn right and follow the path to the nearby Rak Mountain Home or Rak Café.
