Ledinica - Sivka

Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Škofja Loka, then continue to Gorenjska vas and Žire. At the beginning of Žiri, you will see signs for Ledinica, which will direct you to the right onto the local road, which starts to descend moderately. The road then lays down and leads to a bridge over the Poljanska Sora river. After the bridge, turn right and park in the parking lot.
b) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Logatec, then continue driving in the direction of Rovt and Žiri. Continue driving along the rather winding road, which you follow until you reach Žiri, and here in the centre of the town you will see signs for Ledinica, which will direct you to the left. Continue through the industrial zone and then you will reach a bridge over the Poljanska Sora river. After the bridge, turn right and park in the parking lot.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the macadam road, which runs parallel to the Poljanska Sora river, but we only walk along it for about a minute, as the signs then direct us to the left across the meadow. On the other side of the meadow, the path starts to climb steeply, and quickly leads to the Church of St Anne.
After the church, continue right along cart track, which begins to turn increasingly to the left and leads us to a marked crossroads. Continue along the left-hand path towards Mrzlega Vrho (right Selo), which descends to the nearby road. Continue along the road, then join the wider road, which you follow to the right. Continue ascending for some time on the ascending road, then at the lonely house it changes to cart track, which is only followed for a short time, as the markings then direct you left onto a path that climbs steeply through the forest. After a short steep climb, we reach the tractor track logging trail, and we follow it up the wooded ridge. Higher up, the logging trail turns into a mountain path, which continues along and along the ridge of the Ledine hill. Higher up, the path is laid and leads out of the forest to a nearby road, which is followed down to a crossroads. From the crossroads, continue along the ascending road, along which you will see markings. We follow the ascent along the increasingly scenic road, taking in the view of Blegoš, Porezen and the other peaks, to a marked crossroads where the path to Žire, Breznice and Mrzlemu vrh branches off to the left.
Continue straight ahead and follow the road as it gradually descends. After a short descent, you arrive at a marked crossroads, where you continue sharp left in the direction of Lediny (slightly right Vodičar farm, where there is a stamp from Sivka - 1 minute).
Continue on the slightly ascending asphalt road, which leads past a small monument to a crossroads of several roads. Continue straight past the NOB memorial and the chapel, onto the macadam road in the direction of Sivka (this is also the first marker for Sivka on the route described). Continue along the macadam road for a short distance, and then the markers direct us slightly to the right onto a meadow, and we walk along it to the edge of the forest, where we see the next marker for Sivka. The path ahead leads us into the forest, and we follow it for a further 5 minutes to reach the top of Sivka.
