Ljubljana (Žabja vas) - Orle

Access to the starting point:
From Ljubljana's eastern bypass, take the Ljubljana - Bizovik exit, then continue in the direction of Sostre. Drive along the main road for a while, then turn slightly right in the direction of Podlipoglav. Continue along the II. grupe odredov road, which soon turns right into the road towards St. Urho, and we continue along the main road to the Petrol station, after which we turn right at the crossroads in the direction of Orla. Towards Orla, drive to the hamlet of Žabja vas, where signs for the Zadvor log cabin point to the right. The described route starts at the aforementioned log cabin, where parking is only allowed for guests.

Path description:
From the Zadvor log cabin, continue along a wide forest path towards Orla. The path climbs slightly steeper at first and then moderately up the Zadvor hill. The well-beaten path forks several times, and we choose the one that is better beaten, with a trim trail running alongside it for a while. Higher up, the trim trail ends or turns back, and we continue along the forest path, which continues along the ridge of Zadvorski Hill. Higher up, we leave Zadvorski Hill, and two paths from St Urho join from the right. From both crossroads, continue towards Orla, and in some places there are signs for the Inn Orle. A little further on, you reach the ridge of Šinkovčev hill, where the path continues along the wide cart track, leaving it at the cross and continuing right on the path, which descends slightly at the crossing. When the path starts to climb again, it quickly leads us to an asphalt road, which we follow to the left, and after it we quickly arrive at the Inn Orle, from which we have a beautiful view, which, with good visibility, reaches all the way to Triglav.
