Log pod Mangartom - The Parabola waterfall

Access to the starting point:
From Bovec, drive towards the Predel border crossing, but only as far as the village Log pod Mangartom. Here, in the centre of the village, you will see a sign for the Parabola waterfall, which directs you to the right down a narrow street. Follow this road to the parking lot by the river Koritnica.
You can also get here by following the road leading from the bridge over the Koritnica River.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the river Koritnica, crossing it with caution (if the water is high, you will probably have to disembark). Once you have crossed the river, on the other side you will see an abandoned byte, next to which you will see the signs "Fratarica". Take this path, which quickly leads to the relatively steep cart track, which you follow to the first crossroads. Continue along the right-hand side where cart track quickly becomes a steep mountain path climbing up alongside the stream. Occasionally, a slightly exposed path leads us quickly to a beautiful viewpoint from which we open a beautiful view of the waterfall.
Most hikers end the trip here, but it can be extended to a small lake below the waterfall. To get there, you first have to descend a narrow and exposed path which, after a short descent, leads to the stream bed. From there, it is only a short climb to the foot of the waterfall.
The path from the viewpoint to the foot of the waterfall is suitable only for experienced mountaineers (high risk of slipping).
