Lokve - Škol

Access to the starting point:
From Nova Gorica, Most na Soči or Predmeja, drive to Lokve, where you park in a large parking lot next to a small ski slope.

Path description:
From the parking lot, turn onto the asphalt road in the direction of Doma na Lazni, and follow the road to the last holiday home in Lokva. Behind the last house, a wide cart track (there is also an information board at the beginning of cart track) turns off to the left, along which you will soon see the first markings. Take the cart track, which turns left and leads to a marked crossroads, where you take a sharp right in the direction of the Škol peak and the hamlet of Lazna (the trail marked "Z", which stands for the "Trail behind the wall", continues straight on, leading around Lokevi).
The path then climbs crosswise to the right, then turns slightly to the left and at the next crossroads lies completely flat. At this point, leave the path leading to Lazno and continue left towards the top of Škol. The way forward climbs steeply through the forest, initially gently, then steeply. Higher up, the old cart track leads us to the ridge of Škol, where it turns into a footpath and is completely laid. After a few metres of the path, the slope, as well as the path, is upright, and we follow the rather steep path to the top, which is reached after 5 minutes of further walking.
