Access to the starting point:
Cross the Petrina border crossing and drive to Delnice, where you will see signs for a hunting lodge on the right at the western end of the town. Turn right here and follow the ascending road to the hunting lodge (lovački dom), where you park.
Path description:
From the parking lot at the hunting lodge, continue along the road towards Japlenškega vrh, which after a few steps leads to a crossroads of two roads. Continue along the lower right road, which goes straight ahead and after a 10-minute walk leads to a fork in the trail. Here, mountain signs direct us left up the footpath, which climbs steeply through the forest. Just a few minutes below the summit, you reach the next crossroads, where you continue to the right. It is only a few minutes of ascending through the forest to the Japlenšek Peak.
