Access to the starting point:
From Nova Gorica, drive into Itali and follow the motorway to Portogruaro, where you will take the motorway fork towards Belluno. Follow the motorway to the exit for Belluno, and after Belluno we follow the road towards Feltre and then towards Transacqua and the Passo Rolle pass. Shortly before the pass, we will see a large parking lot on the right-hand side of the road at mountain pasture Malga Fosse, where we park.
Path description:
From the starting point at mountain pasture Malga Fosse continue south-eastwards following the signs "Rifugio Rosetta, Col Verde". The path descends gently on grassy slopes at the start, then crosses the slopes below the summit of Cimon della Pala, mostly in a gentle ascent. The path called Sentiero dei Finanzieri then climbs slightly steeper and leads to flatter grassy slopes.
The path then begins to descend gently and leads to a marked crossroads. The path to the right leads down to the Col Verde ski slope, the path straight ahead leads to the Rosetta hut, and we head up to the left, following the signs for 'Via Ferrata Bolver - Lugli'.
From the crossroads, there is first a short climb up a mostly grassy slope to the entrance to the wall.
The initial part of the route is not belayed and therefore a little more caution is needed (climbing grades 1-2). The route, which is marked with red dots, climbs quite steeply a few times, and is only belayed by a small rope in a short, slightly more exposed part.
Higher up, the path leads to the start of a protected route called Via Ferrata Bolver Lugli. The wall becomes even steeper, but from here on the path is well protected throughout. At the very beginning, the protected path climbs up a steep gully to the left, before turning slowly to the right. The path continues to climb almost vertically along the steel cable several times, so it is necessary to have some strength in your arms. In the last part, the climbing route passes to the left of a steep gully and is a little more exposed. When you reach the top of the wall, continue left and after a short climb along the ridge you will reach the flatter slopes where the protected route ends.
The path then turns slightly to the right and after a short, easy traverse leads to the Fiamme Gialle bivouac.
From the bivouac, continue north-east and descend to the Passo del Travignolo saddle where the Valle dei Cantoni trail joins from the right. At the saddle, continue straight on after the Cima Vezzana markers and start climbing up a fairly steep scree slope. The path then turns to the right and leads to a small saddle below the summit of Il Nuvolo. To the left is a marked trail to the Cima Vezzana summit, and at the saddle we turn right towards the Il Nuvolo summit. The less visible path is marked cairns and leads quickly along the ridge to the summit.
