Access to the starting point:
From the Gorenjska side, go through the Ljubelj border crossing to Klagenfurt or through Karawanks to Villach. Continue on the motorway towards the signs for Graz / Graz. Leave the motorway after about 2km through a tunnel in the direction of Bad St. Leonhard. Continue past the village of St. Peter and the small town of Obdach. A few kilometres after the tunnel at Obdach, the road leads to a roundabout where you take the Judenburg exit. The road now follows a straight stretch and leads to the Maria Buch signs on the left. Turn left and drive to the next junction, where you continue to the right and after a few metres you will see a large parking lot on your right, where you park.
From Koroška, take the first exit to Dravograd and then on to Austria. Follow the road towards St. Paul, St. Andra and Wolfsberg. In Wolfsberg, head towards Bad St. Leonhard and on to St. Peter. Continue following the description from Gorenjska.
From the Styrian side, drive to Maribor and on to Austria via the Šentilj border crossing. Follow the motorway in the direction of Klagenfurt / Klagenfurt. Leave the motorway in the direction of the Bad St. Leonhard exit. Follow the description from Gorenjska.
Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road along which you parked. After about 15 minutes of walking on the asphalted road straight past the village, you will reach the chapel, where you turn left uphill. After a few dozen metres, the asphalt ends and you continue walking on a road closed to traffic. After a few minutes of climbing, a worse road branches off to the left. Continue straight ahead and turn left at the next junction. Follow the road until the marked path leaves the road and heads left up the slope. After five minutes of walking through the forest, the marked but sometimes overgrown path leads to a forest road coming from the other side of the mountain. Continue right along the road, which soon leads to a pasture in front of a farm. It is only a short walk to the farm, where there is a small mountain lodge.
