Access to the starting point:
The start of the route can be practically in the city centre at the beginning of the City Park or anywhere in the park up to the Three Ponds. By car, exit Melje on the expressway through Maribor and continue along the railway station, at the first crossroads without traffic lights turn left along Tomšičeva Street, also the well-known avenue in the direction of Ribniško selo and park your vehicle somewhere near the park.
Path description:
At the beginning of the City Park, or at the Three Ponds, is the concrete start of the route. It is easy to follow the mountain trail practically from urban Maribor itself through Ribniško selo. Halfway along Terčeva Street, the trail turns right across Kozjak, while we continue straight to the end of the above-named street, which is mainly lined with terraced houses. At the crossroads turn left onto the Walking Trail. We continue in an easy ascent up between houses and cottages, the asphalt turns into a well-trodden macadam and somewhere the top with the chapel of St. Rosalie is mostly in sight all the time and also quickly reached.
The trail is 2100 metres long, 110 positive vertical metres and 15 negative vertical metres!
