Medvodje - Stegovnik waterfall

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Podnart (Ljubelj) exit, then continue on the expressway towards Ljubelj and Tržič. When the expressway ends, you will see a petrol station on the right hand side, before which turn right down towards Tržič. Continue through Tržič, and we follow the narrower road towards Dovžana Gorge and then through the villages of Dolina and Jelendol to the hamlet of Medvodje, where we park in the marked parking area at the nearby crossroads.

Path description:
S parkirišča nadaljujemo po desni cesti v smeri Stegovnik in Stegovnik waterfall (leva cesta vodi proti mountain pasture Dolgi njivi), le ta pa nas že hitro pripelje do naslednjega križišča. Tudi tu nadaljujemo desno (leva cesta se nadaljuje ob reki Tržiški Bistrica) v smeri Stegovniškega slapa. V nadaljevanju nas cesta vodi mimo nogometnega igrišča, za katerim cesta postopoma preide neposredno ob potok Stegovnik. Nekaj časa se vzpenjamo ob potoku, na katerem lahko opazujemo manjše tolmunčke in kaskade, nato pa na levi strani že zagledamo slap, do katerega vodi krajša stezica, le ta pa se s ceste odcepi v levo.
