Moškrin - Sveti Križ (Križna Gora) (via Cavrn)

Access to the starting point:
a) From Gorenje vas, Ljubljana or Kranj, drive to Škofja Loka, then continue to Železniki. At the end of Škofja Loka, you will see signs for Križna Gora, which will direct you to the right onto a slightly narrower road, which will quickly take you to the village of Moškrin. At the beginning of the village, continue slightly left (right centre of Moškrin) along the road, which leads you into the forest. Park in a suitable place on the roadside.
b) Drive to Železniki, then continue driving towards Škofja Loka. At the beginning of Škofja Loka, just a little further on from the turnoff for the village of Trnje, turn left in the direction of Križna Gora and the village of Moškrin, and then drive along a slightly narrower asphalt road, which will quickly take you to the beginning of the village of Moškrin. At the beginning of the village, continue slightly left (right centre of the village Moškrin) along the road, which leads you into the wods a little further on. Park in a suitable place on the roadside.

Path description:
From where you parked, continue along the asphalt road, which climbs moderately through the forest. After about 15 minutes of walking, you will reach a crossroads, where you turn left towards the hamlet Cavrn (on the right, the village of Križna Gora).
From the crossroads, walk through the forest for a short distance and then emerge from the forest onto the hay meadows. When the road makes a left turn, you will see a cross on your right and next to it cart track, which climbs four metres up a grassy slope.
Continue along the above-mentioned cart track (left along the Cavrn hamlet road and then along the marked Škofja Loka and Trnje trail), which quickly turns into a forest. In the forest cart track splits into two parts, we choose the left marked one, which only a little higher starts to climb crosswise to the right. During the crossing, a beautiful view opens up towards the Sveti Križ church on Križna hora and the Kamniško Savinjske Alps. The path quickly returns to the forest, which then ends just before a small pass, where the path splits again.
If you continue to the left you will reach the hunting lodge in a few steps, and if you continue to the right you will reach the Sveti Križ church in a few 10 steps, from which you will have a beautiful view.
