Murova (Jesenice) - Chapel of St. Barbara on Pejce

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lipce, where you turn right towards Jesenice. In Slovenski Javornik, at the first traffic light junction, turn left towards the town centre. At the seventh traffic-lighted intersection in turn, turn sharp right and drive for only a few 10 m, then turn left uphill towards the church on Murova. Park nearby.

Path description:
From the church, continue left along the road that leads uphill between the houses. Soon you will come to a crossroads where you continue slightly to the right or straight uphill. The street (Kosova) narrows and we follow it to its end, passing the last house on the left. After a small garden, you enter a wide forest path leading uphill towards the sz. After a 15-minute walk from the starting point, we come across a small chapel and a crossroads beyond it. Take the right (left Sp. Pejce) and continue along a slightly narrower path through the forest, and over a cut power line to the next crossroads by the water intake, where you join the wider path coming from the left, or from Spodnje Pejce. Continue uphill to the right along a beautiful, wide stone path, which was once used to transport ore, as evidenced by the traces of (glajжна) that are still visible today. Follow this path for a few minutes until you reach another, larger chapel, located just below Zgornji Pejce. There are benches next to the chapel where you can rest.
