Nevlje pri Kamniku - Vovar

Access to the starting point:
First, we drive to Kamnik, then we continue our drive towards the Tuhinj valley. From the end of Kamnik, follow the main road for about 1km, then turn left into the village of Nevlje, where there is a small parking lot near the school.

Path description:
From the parking lot, turn left past the school and then take the first turning right, left over the Mammoth Bridge (where the skeleton was discovered) and then right again at the crossroads. Follow the road through the village of Oševek, turning left at the end through a clearing. Follow the road uphill and after about 15 minutes turn left at the crossroads again towards the village of Tučna. In 300 m, by a large farm building, you see a less good unsealed road, cart track, which descends to the right down to a meadow.
Follow the track back up and follow first a fine gravel track and then a few more tracks. When you reach the woodpile after about 15 minutes' walk from the outbuilding, turn right onto the cross track and follow it around the bend for about 3 minutes. Here the road ends, (left and right faint cart tracks) and we continue straight ahead on the dirt track into the light woods.
Follow the track uphill, cross two cart track and turn right at the junction of unmarked paths. In a minute you will see a nice dirt road. Turn right onto the road and walk along it to the saddle at the foot of Vovar. On the extension to the right, you will see a roughly cut track for harvesting wood, and in the left corner you will even find a modest inscription Vovar. Follow cart track and after a while you will see a saddle on your left again. The path from the Forest joins us. Just a few metres further on, turn left onto a steeply sloping path and in a few minutes you will reach the top.
