Nova Gorica (Hotel Perla) - Škabrijel (direct path)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the Razdrto-Nova Gorica expressway, head towards the centre of Nova Gorica and park in the parking lot on Kidričeva in front of Hotel Perla.
b) From the route of Itali, also follow the centre of Nova Gorica.
c) From the route of Bovec and Tolmin, follow the centre of Nova Gorica to the parking lot in front of Hotel Perla.

Path description:
From the parking lot on Kidričeva in front of Hotel Perla, cross the Vojkova cesta junction and continue past the church and the police past a settlement of a few houses to the semaphorised junction under Vetrišče on the ring road. Cross the crossroads in the direction of the Vetriště and after 50 m turn left uphill towards Škabrijelo.
Continue between the vineyards and the settlement of Varda and follow the signs. When you reach the asphalt path for Kekec, cross it and continue for approx. 50 m and turn left on the path uphill and continue to the macadam cart track, where turn left on cart track onto the asphalt road coming from the direction of Kekec, where turn right towards the top of Škabrijel. After 15 minutes of walking, the asphalt ends and the signs for Škabrijel direct you to the left.
There is a bench and a tap with drinking water from a spring. The dirt road quickly takes you to the next crossroads. Continue right up (straight Sveta Gora and Prevala) on the increasingly worse cart track, from which a marked footpath branches off after a few minutes immediately after a right turn to the left. A pleasant path, which can be muddy only in heavi rains, is a military mulatier and on a small stretch quite steep, leads us to the top of Škabrijel.
The whole trail is through the forest and is also suitable for sunny and hot days.
