Nova vas - Bloško jezero

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Unec, then follow the road in the direction of Cerknica and further in the direction of Bloška Polica and Nová vas. When you arrive in Novo vas, park in a suitable space in the centre of the village.
b) From Ljubljana, drive towards Kočevje or vice versa, but only as far as Velike Lašče, where you turn right (left from Kočevje) in the direction of Nová vas na Blokach. Continue along the road, which is occasionally a bit more winding and also climbing, and which leads past a few small settlements. When you arrive in Novo vas, park in a suitable space in the centre of the village.
c) From the road Kočevje - Ljubljana, at Žlebič, take the road towards Sodražica. From Sodražica continue on the main road towards Nová vas na Blokach. When you arrive in Nova vas, park in a suitable space in the centre of the village.

Path description:
From the centre of Nová vas, continue along the main road towards Sodražica for a short distance, and then the signs for the footpath to Volčje direct you to the left, onto a road that leads you past a few more houses. After the houses or small blocks, turn slightly right and follow the ascending dirt road, which leads into the lane of a forest. When the forest ends after a few minutes, step along the edge of the fenced pastures and a few steps further into the forest again. After a small pass, the path begins to descend gently, then lays down and leads us out of the forest again. A few minutes of easy walking through meadows are followed by the village of Volčje, where you rejoin the tarmac. At a nearby crossroads, turn right towards Bloško jezero, which is a short walk past the Church of St Volbenko.
