Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lipce (Jesenice East), where you turn right towards Jesenice. At the first semaphorised intersection (Slovenski Javornik settlement) turn right (direction Lj. ) towards Koroška Bela. At the next traffic-lighted junction turn left, and shortly afterwards turn left again towards Javorníške Rovto. After a further 20 metres, the main road turns right, and we continue straight across the bridge of the Javornik stream, immediately after which we turn left into a large gravel parking area.

Path description:
From the parking lot, go back across the bridge of the Javornik stream to the first house on the right side of the road. Opposite it (on the left) are two houses with a narrow dirt road between them. Cross the asphalt road here and take the latter. After a few steps, the road climbs and a little higher up, it also gets an asphalt surface. The slope quickly starts to give way, and the road, which leads past a few houses, soon becomes level. Here we get a view of the village Koroška Bela, and we continue along this sloping and scenic road for a short distance, passing a few houses on the left. Shortly after the last house in the row (Sunny Way 4), you will see a track on the left which climbs up a wooded hillside. Leave the road here and continue along this track, which leads uphill, while at the same time turning gently first to the right, and higher up, in line with the hillside, gently to the left. The path soon leads to the vicinity of the Kres Recreation Centre and the road leading there from the village. Before descending the slope to the latter, at the fork in the path, continue straight ahead, or slightly left, to logging trail, which is located a few metres higher up on our slope. When you reach logging trail, continue left, slightly uphill. Shortly after logging trail starts to descend and turn right, with some care we find a track on the right which climbs steeply up the eastern slope of the hill. Leave logging trail and follow this track, which initially climbs in a few switchbacks towards the top of Strana. A bench is encountered when the steepness eases a little higher up, and then the pleasant and sometimes scenic path climbs a little steeper for the last time towards the top of the 711-metre-high Strana hill.
