Oskar Schauer Sattelhaus - Terenbachalm (circular path)

Access to the starting point:
a) If you are coming from Styria, turn left before Graz on the motorway for Klagenfurt. After 15 km, take the Mooskirchen exit and follow the regional road through Voitsberg to Köflach. After the town, turn right for Gradenberg and Graden bei Köflach. In the latter, on the left-hand side of the road, you will see a sign for the Oskar Schauer Sattelhaus. After a 15-minute drive, you reach the hut, where there is a parking area.
b) If you are coming from the Gorenjska side, join the A2 motorway in the direction of Graz. Approximately 20 km after Wolfsberg, take exit 231 - Packsattel. Follow the road all the way to Köflach, where you will follow the above description.

Path description:
Leave the car at the Oskar Schauer Sattelhaus and continue straight ahead to the first crossroads. Here, take route 547, which leads to the statue of Jesus Christ. From the crossroads, the forest path starts to climb slowly. After about 20 minutes, you reach the statue, where the forest boundary ends and you have a beautiful view of the neighbouring mountain pasture and mountains. From the statue, the path climbs gently to the ridge mountain pasture, where at the signpost turn right onto path No 547, which leads to Zeißmann Hütte. The ridge leads to a sloping path which leads to the highest peak mountain pasture Terenbachalm (1734 m).
From the summit of the kopje, the trail starts descending to the hut Zeißmann Hütte, which is situated at an altitude of 1500 metres. The hut is privately owned but can be a good place for a snack.
From the hut, take route 505. A beautiful, gentle forest path leads to Terenbachhütte, where you continue along a forest road to the starting point.
