Ožbalt - Sršenov vrh

Access to the starting point:
From the Maribor - Dravograd road, drive to the Ožbalt settlement, where you park near the parish church. The best place to park is next to the Cultural Centre Ožbalt by the Drava River. There is another parking lot at the cemetery a few minutes away, which is located above the settlement.

Path description:
From the starting point, first carefully cross the main road, and opposite the church at the marked parking lot next to the branch primary school Ožbalt (parking is allowed for employees and visitors of the school), you can already see the first red mountain direction signs, which direct you to a side road, so that you can bypass the school on the left side. After the school, we pass the farm shop, and then we start climbing up the road that leads us along the Ožbalt stream, passing individual farmhouses here and there.
After a good hour's walk, we reach an altitude of 577 m, where we leave the asphalt road in front of the Mori homestead and continue left on the cart track in the direction of Sršenov vrh. For a short time, cart track leads us along the right tributary of the Ožbalt brook, and then signs direct us to the left cart track, which begins to climb cross-country to the left, and higher up it begins to turn to the right. During the cross-climb, some views open up, and then the path returns to the forest, where there are several forks. Follow the markings carefully at all of them, and at a higher level cross a pasture fence and leave the forest. Continue past a hunting observation post, then climb along a pasture to the Holcman homestead, where cart track widens into a road. After a few minutes of scenic ascent, a second road is reached a little to the right of the chapel, which is followed down to the right (Kozjek homestead on the left).
There is a short descent through the lane of a forest, and when you reach the asphalt road, go left (you can follow the road back to Ožbalt), where you pass the Zgornji Krampl homestead a little further on the right.
After the homestead, the road climbs slightly and leads to a crossroads where you continue left into the forest. Follow the markings through the forest, and when you leave the forest, climb up to the Sršen farm, where you rejoin the road.
Here, continue right in the direction Sršenov vrh, some 10 metres ahead, and when you approach a narrower strip of forest, go slightly left on a footpath which leads up to a nearby hut and a little further on to an undistinguished peak on which transmitters stand.
