Parking at botanical garden - Rossijevo sklonište (bivak) (Premužičeva staza)

From the Zagreb - Split motorway, take the Otočac exit. Follow the road towards the village of Krasno and Sjeverni Velebit. A rather winding road leads us through the village of Švica to Krasno, where we join the road from Senj (access is also possible from this direction). In K. . .

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the road, which is closed to traffic, almost horizontally at first. After a few minutes' walk, you will reach a crossroads where the path to Gromovača (Premužičeva staza) branches off to the right. Take this path, which initially climbs gently across the meadow and after a few minutes leads into the forest. The path continues through the forest and runs mostly horizontally up the rocky slopes. Here it begins to climb gently up a slope with a view. The path then goes into the forest again and, after a two-hour walk from the parking lot, leads to a crossroads where the path to the top of Gromovače branches off to the right. Continue along the Premužičeva staza, which leads us slightly higher to the highest point of the route. There is a short descent to the next crossroads, where you continue to the right. The path is steep and slightly exposed slopes, but it is wide enough not to cause any problems. More caution is needed when the path is covered with snow. A little further on, the steepness of the slopes eases and to the right we see a bivouac with only a few steps to go.
