Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Lesce exit and follow the road towards Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. Continue towards Lake Bohinj (Ribčev laz), arriving at a crossroads where you turn right towards Stara Fužina. In Stara Fužina, at the crossroads near the chapel, turn sharp left onto the ascending road towards mountain pasture Blato, mountain pasture Vogar and the Voja valley. The road continues to the place where the toll and parking fees are collected, and we follow it to the next crossroads, where we continue to the left (right Voje). We then follow the road to the next crossroads (we drive for some time), where we take a sharp right in the direction of mountain pasture Blato (straight ahead mountain pasture Vogar). Follow this road to the parking lot above mountain pasture Blato.
Path description:
From the parking lot at mountain pasture Mud, follow the road back a little to the signs at cart track. Here we take the cart track, which climbs steeply at first and then moderately, and within ten minutes' walk leads us to a crossroads, where we turn left (straight mountain pasture in Laz). Cart track is then followed through the forest to the hut at mountain pasture at Jezero. Here you will have a view of the surrounding hills.
Go around the mountain hut on the left and the path leads us in a slight downhill to a crossroads where we continue straight along cart track (to the left mountain pasture Viševnik). The mostly rocky cart track, which follows an unmarked valley, climbs steeply a few times and, after half an hour's walk from mountain pasture at Jezero, leads to mountain pasture Dedno polje, where you reach the next crossroads.
Continue straight ahead towards the hut at Triglav Lakes (right valley Za Kopico) along the path which climbs gently to moderately through mostly sparse forest. The path from which we open a beautiful view of the Lower Bohinj Mountains then descends and leads us to mountain pasture Ovčarija, where the next crossroads.
Continue along the right-hand path in the direction of the hut by the Triglav Lakes over Štapce (straight path over Prode). The way forward initially climbs moderately through a rare larch forest, then climbs steeply and leads us over lane of dwarf pines to the Štapce lookout.
Here we continue down to the left towards the Double Lake, which is clearly visible below us (Tičarica on the right). The trail starts to descend steeply from Štapce on a perfectly protected path (the path is guarded by a rope ladder and in the lower part by a ladder). After less than 5 minutes of descent, the trail turns into a scree slope and then descends to the Double Lake, where you continue to the right towards the hut (left path over Prode and Black Lake). The gently sloping trail then bypasses the lake on the right and quickly leads to the hut at the Tičičarica Triglav Lakes.
From the hut, continue in the direction of Prehodavce and Hribarice and continue past the artificial lake Močivec. Just after the lake, the path begins to climb moderately through the less and less vegetated valley. The pleasant and scenic route leads us further along the Triglav Lakes Valley, which quickly leads to a marked crossroads where the path to Veliko or Lepo Špičje branches off to the left.
Continue in the direction of Prehodavci and follow the relatively winding path, which first crosses the lane of a rare larch forest and then continues along a pleasant valley. The path continues to climb moderately and leads us to a small preval, from which we have a beautiful view of the lake in Ledvice.
The marked trail bypasses the lake on the right, where it continues along the extensive scree fields at the foot of the two Zelnarice lakes. After the lake, the path returns from the scree to the Valley of the Triglav Lakes, after which it continues its relatively steep ascent. Already a completely high-mountain path, it climbs steeply for a short time higher up, then lays down completely and, after a few minutes of further walking, leads us to Zelená jezero (Green Lake).
Blato - Dedno polje 1:30, Dedno polje - Dvojno jezero 1:45, Dvojno jezero - Zeleno jezero 1:30.
